Heyooo. We get it, Building a Social Community can be challenging, but we want to help you get there. That's why we've created 5 Steps to Kickstarting Your Own Social Network.
1. Give it 100 Days
Noah Kagan, a popular E-Commerce Podcaster, talks about the importance of giving new ventures 100 days.
After 100 days, you'll see if you've gotten the snowball rolling yet, and decide to give up if it didn't work out.
To emphasize the point, try out this helpful exercise:
Step 1: Close Your Eyes
Step 2: Think of a project that you gave up on too easily
Step 3: Imagine where that project could have been today had you kept investing in it.
2. Emulate That Social Friend

Our pal, BabaJune, who loves to host dinners
Everybody has that one friend that's simply a Social Beast! You know, the one that you introduces you to a bunch of people, throws dinners & lunches, gets the gang together for a picnic at the park...
This is the friend that understands the importance of "planting seeds" - making new acquaintances, and nurturing new relationships.
So, how do they do it?
That's the big question, and the one which would take a lifetime to answer.
But, the gist of it, is that the Social Beast (or King or Queen), knows how to make people feel comfortable to be themselves.
The Social King hosts the party, and provides value beyond just products.
3. Estimate The Value it Can Bring
This one is actually kind of important before embarking on any new project. Estimate the value it can bring you relative to other projects in your pipeline.
We get it, your time is limited.
Your cash is limited.
Your employees (if you have them) also have a limited amount of time!
So, how do you maximize the impact that your time, money, and resources can have?
The Answer: Let your Shopper Community create content for you.
The potential value of the approach is that instead of just endlessly pouring money on more ads, or spending days creating new blog content, just let your shoppers do it for you.
4. Shoppers Always Have Something To Say

Let shoppers be shoppers
Albert Einstein said many smart things (and most of them we still don't understand). But, he was right about letting fish be fish, and monkies be monkies.

We're not saying your shoppers are monkies |
You can't change the nature of your shoppers, and we don't recommend trying that.
But, if the Social Media Revolution has taught us anything, perhaps it's:
a) People are Social Creatures. They want to share their experiences.
b) People like to comment on other people's posts.
5. Make It Up As You Go Along
You don't need to have all the answers.
Nobody does.
And that's okay.
That's because we are entering unchartered territory.
For 2,000 years, humanity corresponded with grunts and hand gestures, and hear you are trying to get them talking about your own brand.
As Bebe said: "If it's meant to be, it'll be. Just let it be."
